Apple iPad vs. Google Nexus 10

nexus-10-vs-ipad-4

Google was supposed to have a big Android event yesterday, however due to Hurricane Sandy set to hit the area it was going to be held, the event was cancelled.

But that didn’t stop Google from announcing several new products: a new 10-inch tablet, 7-inch tablet and 4+-inch phone.

The Nexus 10 tablet, which brings the “Pure Google” experience into the world of 10-inch tablets is priced aggressively to compete with Apple’s tablet king, the iPad, but how do the two devices compare?

Below is the list of the specs found in the new Nexus 10 compared to the recently announced iPad (4th generation).

Depending on your specific likes/dislikes one tablet may be a better fit for you over the other. The new Google tablet certainly will be an option many will consider, but is it too late to tackle Apple’s dominance? Time will tell.

And just another heads up for your’re terrible fact checker, sure hope its not you but the A6X is at 1.4Ghz. The A6 in the iPhone 5 is at 1.3Ghz. Regardless of that, Apple’s 1.4Ghz blows the doors clean off Samdung’s 1.7Ghz, more isn’t always better that’s for sure.

Do you mean to say compare the number of iPads which have been out since 2010 to the number of Nexus 10s which aren’t out yet?

It’s all very well the Nexus having a better spec on paper, but the real test is ‘in the field’ so to speak. To put that into perspective, see how many iPads are in circulation, and in common use verses the Nexus…………and then there’s the subject of apps. There are 275,000 dedicated iPad apps in the app store specifically written to take advantage of iOS 6, the screen size and the Retina display.

On THAT note, the iPad is the clear winner by MILES.
