Camera+ for iPad launched, iPhone version receives slick new updates

Camera+, far and away my favorite app for taking and editing photos on the iPhone, has now made its way to the iPad with the iPhone version has received some super new updates.
The new iPhone app has been updated to version 3.5, bringing with it iCloud sync and numerous iPhone 5-specific speed improvements.
More importantly, the developers behind Camera+ – tap tap tap – have launched an iPad version of the app at only $.99 for a limited time! Some iPad-specific features include straightening of photos, as well as brushing on effects and layering two photos over top of each other. On the iPad, you can also import photos from Facebook and Flickr.

With the new iPad and iPhone app users can also sync photos in your Lightbox across multiple iOS devices over iCloud; once the photos have been downloaded to the iPad, you can edit them in full screen on the Retina display. While taking photos isn’t exactly convenient or intuitive on the iPad, editing photos on the iPad is top-notch.

Further, tap tap tap’s commitment to its ecosystem, allowing third-party apps access to its extensive API, and the ability of Tweetbot users – one of iOS’ best Twitter clients – the ability to edit photos in Camera+ from within the app itself, cements Camera+ as one of the best apps for the iPhone or iPad to own, hands down.
Both the iPhone and iPad apps are $.99 for a limited time, so grab one or both while you can!
