Managing what you have to do and capturing every minute detail of a given task is often an arduous process.
If you’re like me and carry your iPhone with you at all times, finding the right task management app is a must to stay on top of personal and professional todos at all times. To do Checklist is an app that is not only easy on the eyes and easy to use, it is full of features that set it apart from other productivity apps. (more…)

One of the things my kids love to do with the iPad is color, sketch, and draw, using their fingers or sometimes a stylus like the Nomad Brush or AluPen. While for doodling, being pretty young, they’re fine just using my note-taking app Penultimate, but for coloring and drawing there are three apps they are loving right now. I thought I’d let everyone know just what they’re using right now and give you a short rundown of each. There are plenty of great coloring and drawing apps in the App Store, these are just a couple our house has latched on to lately, and while none of these particular applications is free, each is worth the small price, they’d provided hours of entertainment for my family (yes, even I’ve had fun using some of them).

Productivity apps are in no short supply in the iTunes App Store, so to truly stand out an app has to feature great design, offer something no other app can offer and actually improve productivity. Oooloo does that and more with a minimal learning curve and tremendous flexibility. (more…)

By this point parents and kids have both come to expect great things from a new Toca Boca app release. From Hair Salon, Kitchen, Store, Paint My Wings, Tea Party, Doctor, and others…each app has done a tremendous job of holding interest, offering engaging interactive play, with great use of imagination.
With their latest release, Toca House, the tradition lives on. While I will say it’s not AS great as their previous apps (my opinion), it still has all the right pieces, engages my kids, and allows for creative play of real world activities on a digital medium (the iPad)….oh, and my kids love it (that’s what matters). As our lives grow increasingly busy, eating well can be difficult, if not impossible. Shunning nutriotous meals made at home in favor of fast food, for many, has become the norm. But for those with an iPad there’s hope in the form of a tremendous app, MealGuru. (more…)

So Ouat has released a crazy arsenal of iPad books for kids that are entertaining, interactive, and beautiful. For 2012 they’ve changed their name to Chocolapps, but if their first release of the year, “The Adventures of Robin Hood” ($3.99) is any indication, their name may have changed but their commitment to quality children’s storybook apps has remained the same. It’s full of interactive elements, great text, and so much more. (more…)

I reviewed the Jajdo Buildo Rescue release a little while back and found it to be a really great game, storybook, sticker board, building app for kids, as well as adults (I had a blast with it I have to admit). Their latest and third release in the Buildo series, Buildo Museum, continues the trend of great work after following up their initial release with Buildo History. (more…)

In the iTunes App Store there are plenty of iPad apps designed for productivity, but those that stand out for their ability to truly do so are in shorty supply. Investing in one of these apps only to find you’ve made a poor purchase is a horrible feeling.
PDF Forms is different, in a grand way, giving one absolute control over your PDF files. (more…)

We all have daily routines. For some, these routines involve checking the same websites, social networks, apps and more, over and over again with no set schedule. Face it, it’s a waste of time, productivity is lost and what if you forget to check something you frequent and castrophe strikes?
Thankfully you’ll no longer have to worry about such matters due to the launch of Favomatic. (more…)
