There are plenty of cases out there that try and keep the beautiful iPad from being hidden from view, so that its sleek design is front and center. And there are plenty of good ones that do this. However, not everyone is obsessed with how the iPad looks all by itself, but instead want a case that provides great function and style for their fancy device. One such case that does this is the G2 for iPad 2 by Germanmade…and let’s just say it does it beautifully! (more…)

I received a SofShell for iPad 2 recently, and apparently now all I need is for someone to send me a Porsche for review to go along with it…that way I’d be all set to test out their claim. In case you haven’t heard the designers of the SofShell cases for iPad have said it’s “made from an anti-slip material that keeps your iPad in place—even when it’s on the trunk of a Porsche driving 60 mph”. Ok, so I suppose I don’t actually need a Porsche to test this out, but I am not about to stick my iPad on the trunk of my sedan, so we’ll just have to take a look at this item from a standard use-case and take their word for the whole “Porsche Thing”. There are some crazy accessories for the iPad, and the spiderArm Stand System for iPad 2 is no exception. It’s composed of arms that connect via a two base system that allow users to safely and securely position the iPad 2 anywhere they like, without it needing to be held.
The product contains 3 anodized aluminum arm pieces and two base options. Each arm is of a different length, and one base clamps to tables, desks, counter-tops…while the other base is a surface mount that uses screws for a more permanent and fixed installation.
When I was contacted about this product I was initially a little skeptical, as it just seemed like something out of a movie more so than something I’d ever use. However, after actually using it, I can say I found uses for it in my own home. (more…)

G-Form, makers of shock-absorbing carrying cases for iPads, attached an encased iPad to a weather balloon, sent it up over 100,000 feet, then burst the balloon, letting the iPad hurtle to the ground.
The iPad emerges from the case unscathed and “fully functional.” (more…)

Black Friday is coming up, and if you are planning to buy a new iPad or buy one for someone, you will probably want an iPad case, too. Some people might be tempted to just buy a case from the store, or maybe even an Apple Smart Cover. These are OK choices, but if you are looking for a something more, look no further than the Grablet.

I’ve taken my iPad plenty of places over the last year and a half. I’ve dropped it not once. Ok, to be honest, my daughter did one time, but that’s it! I swear! Even so, it’s good to know that if I ever find myself jumping from an airplane, or skyscrapper, large cliff, or the roof of my house…that G-Form has got my shiny device covered. Check out the video below!

iSkin is a company that produces a variety of cases for your iPhone, iPod, and iPad. I had never used one of their products so when it was recommended I check them out, I asked for a couple review items and they graciously provided two for me to get a good idea as what they were about…so I could pass that information along to you all. There are many companies creating accessories for our iPhones and iPads. Because of this I get plenty of email asking for recommendations, and while I’ve reviewed a number of great ones, options are always nice! So I’ve set out to find companies that I’ve not yet had the pleasure of reviewing products from and in turn bring that information to you.
Today I want to introduce to you WaterField Designs at SFBags.com – a company creating bags, sleeves, and cases for the Mac, iPhone, iPad, and more.
All items available from WaterField are made in the USA and have a sense of quality to them. These are not cheep items that you’re going to toss after a week or two because they simply fall apart. They also have such a wide variety of cases that you’re sure to find something very worthwhile, very appealing, and priced within your budget. (more…)
