Google Drive for iPad Updated With Editing

Google Drive, the application that lets users access their Google Drive documents in the cloud, has been updated for iOS today, to allow editing on iPad and iPhone. This is pretty huge news. It instantly takes Google Drive, the app, from a pointless app that does nothing but take up space, into a functional app that I can actually use.
Now first off the editing capabilities are not anything spectacular. You’re not going to be creating amazing looking documents like you could with say Keynote or Pages, or even as good as the full web versions of Google Drive, but for simple editing it works surprisingly well. Add in that the update also includes collaboration on documents, which shows up in seconds, better presentation animations and speaker notes, uploading of photos and videos from the device, and the ability to move or delete items…and well, Google Drive is exactly what it should have launched as. Better late than never though.
