iPhone 5 and iPad Mini announcement September 12, release September 21

The next version of the iPhone and the long-rumored smaller iPad will reportedly be announced at an event on September 12 and released September 21.
Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S in October of last year, and it appears the date the next iPhone is unleashed on the masses will be moved up a couple weeks.
According to iMore, Apple is preparing an event for September 12th where they will announce not only the next iPhone, the iPhone 5?, but also a new, smaller, iPad:
“iMore has learned that Apple is planning to debut the new iPhone at a special event on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, with the release date to follow 9 days later on Friday, September 21. This information comes from sources who have proven accurate in the past.
The iPad mini will be announced at the same September 12 event, as will the new iPod nano. We haven’t heard a release date for the iPad mini yet, but it could be the same as the iPhone 5.”
Jim Dalrymple of The Loop, known for great (and accurate) one word denials/confirmations of rumors, has posted “yep”.
September 12 looking less like a rumor and more like an eventuality.
When the new iPhone and a possible new iPad is announced, will you purchase either?
