The iPhone 4S’s “intelligent personal assistant” – Siri –  is capable of taking (and giving) direction. But does it do so even better in the hands of a legendary director like Martin Scorsese?

“Gangs of New York” director Scorsese is the latest celebrity pitchman for Apple’s iPhone, joining Samuel L. Jackson, Zooey Deschanel and John Malkovich in the line of famous celebrity pitchmen (pitch women) who’ve showcased the power of Siri.

Watch as Scorsese travels the streets of New York in the back of a taxi, using Siri to rearrange his day and find the best path out of a traffic jam.

At the end of the ad, Scorsese — who’s also starred in ads for American Express — Siri, “I like you, Siri; you’re going places.”
