It was bound to happen sooner or later, the iPad mini is sold out for delivery by November 2nd. All pre-orders being taken now have a 2 week wait attached to them.

This isn’t surprising news…but I am a bit shocked that it took as long as it did, and that the white models sold out much quicker than the black ones. I’m not sure if it took longer to sell out than expected due to Apple simply having a greater supply of the devices than most anticipated, or if the demand for the iPad mini just isn’t there right now. Again, it’s also surprising that the white model sold out first, this could have been a simple miscalculation on what consumers would want…maybe Apple had ordered much more supply of the black than the white, thus selling out much quicker.

Nobody is certain right now, except to say that if you still want to get your iPad mini, you can…you’re just going to have to wait at least 2 weeks.

These shipping and wait times are for the WiFi models only as the WiFi + Cellular models won’t be heading to homes until Mid-November.
