Review : Bookase for iPad

For the traveler who carries an iPad everywhere they go there are many options to do so and protect your device. One could use a case, a screen protector, or both. Some users go naked and simply stick the iPad in a bag designed to hold the iPad. However, some people like a case that is more of a sleeve than it is a case, designed to hold the device, but not to be used with the device in place. The Bookase is such a case.

The Bookase is made in Italy, and is made from Felted Wool and is fully washable and environmentally friendly.

I’ve taken a look at the “Mount Vernon, Washington” version in Dark Brown/Sand, and I have to say it’s extremely well made and very protective.

The case feels great with the iPad in it, and whether you’re stuffing it into a bag or simply carrying it with you, the Bookase will offer the protection you need. It’s 1/4 inch thick and are individually tested to guarantee the highest quality.

I’ve found the case to be extremely nice, and love the look of it. However, my favorite feature is that it also has two little pockets on each side that allow me to store my iPhone and headphones as well. Typically I keep my phone in my pocket, but when heading to the coffeehouse with my devices it’s nice to tuck it in the iPad Bookase as well, and know that both devices are nicely secured and protected, along with a few minor accessories I may need.

The Bookase is available for both iPad 2 and the New iPad, and while it comes in at $70.00, it does include free standard shipping wordwide. If you are looking for an iPad sleeve type case, one that will house the device in transport and keep it protected, and do so in style, the Bookase is worth taking a look at.

If this particular model isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, check out the rest of their line-up, they have other options that may intrigue you.
