Review : The Spigen SGP Hardbook.S for the New iPad Case
The Spigen SGP Hardbook.S Case for the New iPad features a classy design made with high quality materials that nicely protects your New iPad but with a touch of elegance. Many cases out there feature a “book style” design to them, but there is something about this particular case that really stands out…it’s professional, functional, and simple. It features cutouts for all the necessary ports and backside camera, as well as a cutout for the speaker. What’s great about the speaker cut out is that it doesn’t just let the sound head out the back, but instead reflects it back towards the user…or at least that’s how it felt to me when I used it. Either way, the speaker cut out works well, and nothing is given up by using the case itself.
The polycarbonate housing that has a coating on it gives the case-house a soft but sturdy feel while it locks in the device nicely around the outside edges. The case features a great texture that stops it from slipping out of your hand, but also allows users to prop up the iPad without having to use extra folding stands or parts. The case features a loop-strap elastic band to keep it shut nicely while in a bag, but I found it even more useful for keeping the front flap closed against the back when I wanted it to remain open in my hand. The case includes the great and useful sleep/wake features due to the embedded magnets on the front cover and adds very little bulk to the device overall.

The outside of the case has a nice texture to it that feels great and is very unique, and depending on your choice of color, can really stand out. The bookbinding style protects the iPad enough that I felt confident sticking it in a bag without worry. I don’t think it would protect it in a massive fall, but for everyday use it should do the trick.
