There are many companies out there creating some sort of stylus for the iPad. Many are garbage, some are ok, and a few are good or even great. A new-comer to me is the TruGlide by Lynktec, and in my brief time with it I have to say, I’m impressed.
Up to this point my favorite stylus has been the AluPen, I like it’s thickness, weight, and feel. But I’m open to alternatives and the TruGlide came in and stole a spot in my bag.
How did it do it?
First, it’s the right size at just under 5 inches. Secondly, it’s smooth to the touch, lightweight, and a little thicker than a regular pen. However, the tip though is where this thing really shines. It’s made from a patented material that is supposed to be 10 times stronger than the rubber tips many of the other stylus options use. It’s also got a smaller tip than the majority of them, and this makes for a far more accurate stylus pointer. The material used is friction-free on the screen, ensuring it doesn’t skip while drawing or writing on a touchscreen such as the iPad. It just “glides” across the screen effortlessly and beautifully. It just works great!
Overall, this is my new go-to stylus, and thankfully there are two size options (as well as different colors).
There is the standard 4.7 inch TruGlide stylus ($15.95), and the smaller 3.2 inch version. The smaller version has a headphone jack tether cable that is awesome for people who are always losing things or would simply forget to grab it when heading out.
