Hoping to score a white iPad mini this morning? Well you’re out of luck at the Apple online store. Right now the White & Silver model WiFi only, in all capacities, is sold out and won’t ship for 2 weeks. I guess people really like the look of the white version this time around, as the Black & Slate still appears to be on track for a November 2nd delivery at this time (this could change very quickly though).

Granted, this is for the WiFi only models, as the versions with the cellular data network capabilities will not be shipping until Mid November. No one can say for sure why the white model of the iPad mini seems to have already slipped in shipping times. Perhaps it’s due to lower supplies of this particular model, as black has notoriously been more popular, or maybe people really do just like the look of the mini in white more.

This isn’t to say that users hoping for a White & Silver iPad mini model can’t grab one at an Apple retail store, but by the looks of things this “over-priced” iPad mini as some technology gurus have called it seems to already be a hit. If you’re planning to go to an Apple Store today yourself, you may want to make sure you get there early…if you’re not already there waiting!
