Around the World in 18 Days. Travel the world from anywhere with your iPad

As I pen this I’m 39,000 feet above the ground, somewhere between my home in Dallas, Texas and my end destination, New York, New York. Technological advancements, such as in-flight WiFi, are splendid. That said, traveling isn’t always feasible, and if it is, one may be restricted by budget, where their company sends them, or a variety of other factors.
For those with an iPad, traveling is splendid. Reading books, playing games, watching movies, and much more, is at one’s fingertips. Not traveling, but have an iPad? No worries, that too is splendid thanks to a new app, Around the World in 18 Days ($2.99), which allows one to travel the world from anywhere, using an iPad.
Andy Davies, beginning in Portland, Oregon, traveled to Hong Kong, Singapore, Cairo, Istanbul, Venice, Zurich, Bruges, London, and Paris. Out of this trip, Davies’ first trip around the world, came Around the World in 18 Days, a visually stunning and feature-rich travel book for the iPad.

The book features:
- 9 countries. 9 cities. 9 hotels. 5 trains
- 300 photos
- Travel tips
- Photography tips
- Maps

According to Davies:
“It’s about the experience, the joy, and the love of travel, of taking in every moment of the trip and trying to capture the way I felt about each moment. The trip and the books have inspired me to reach out and find other like-minded travelers, and try to be helpful with reviews and tips at every step of the way. The full book Around The World In 18 Days contains dozens of useful travel photo tips, as well as travel and packing tips for each destination visited. “
Around the World in 18 Days is full of grand imagery, tremendous tips and insight into some of the super spots around the world that many want to visit but may never be able to. Using only your iPad and spending $2.99, one will get to experience the next best thing to being there thanks to Andy Davies and his iPad app.
